A case has been registered against Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh at Hyderabad’s Shah Ali Banda Police Station for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad during a Dussehra event in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The FIR, filed on October 5, 2025, invokes multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 196(2) for promoting enmity and 299 for outraging religious feelings, along with Sections 61 and 67 of the IT Act. The action follows citizen complaints and the viral spread of the speech, with police confirming an investigation is underway.
However, earlier this year, the company removed two Facebook groups and three Instagram accounts linked to him after an India Hate Lab (IHL) report exposed ongoing hate speech dissemination. These groups had over one million members and 155,000 followers, respectively.
